LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE YANKEE HILL GRANGE
February 23 2011
This letter goes out to all the residents from Dear Peak Creak
Estates to Concow and Yankee Hill,
In these troubled times all over the world we must start at home to bring us all together. There is so much potential for our community and our children and grandchildren deserve more. So let’s reach out to each other and unite.
The true purpose of the Grange is to help our community through community service. We have failed to do this in the last few years. We need new members and new ideas. Younger members who can bring a new perspective. We are a family organization with family plans when you join. We support all other organizations in our area and want to work together with you in any way we can.
For people interested in joining the Grange or if you just want to learn more about the Grange and are not ready to be a member please join us for a community event and free dinner on Saturday May 21, 2011 at 5:00 pm has been postponed to future date and time.
Please join us for a roundtable discussion of ideas and projects we can work on together to improve our rural community. When you come your can learn what the Grange stands for and our impact on our community in the past. In April and May you can join for free with just a $10.00 application fee. Our regular dues are $30.00 a year.
Our address is 4122 Big Bend Rd.Off Highway 70.
I as President realize that if we don’t recruit more active members our Grange will close down. It will sit vacant for seven years and then revert back to the State Grange who will eventually sell the building or even worse tear it down. Please support our goals and our Grange and all other organizations that have formed in the past few years. We welcome you and with all of us working together we will unite our community.
Respectfully Bob Alvarez
President Yankee Hill Grange #735
